If you aren’t attending the PCI SSC 2024 North America Community Meeting, you’re missing out on the most important event in compliance management. The annual conference is being held September 10-12 at Boston’s Hynes Convention Center — and TCT will be there.

The PCI Community Meeting is three days chock full of connecting, discovery, updates from the Council, regional community speakers, merchants, industry experts, and more. It’s a must-attend event for anyone involved with the PCI DSS compliance standard — whether you’re a QSA, a compliant organization, or a vendor to compliant organizations.

What to Expect at the 2024 North America PCI Community Meeting

Folks attending the event this year can expect to hear about the latest PCI updates and upcoming changes, as well as important trends in the cybersecurity and payment card industries. Advancements and implications of AI will certainly be hot topics, and TCT will be highlighting our Automated Intelligence capabilities.

The conference has a full agenda for all three days. Tuesday is the Assessor Session, dedicated specifically to supporting and equipping QSAs. The Vendor Showcase will also kick off that afternoon, and you’ll be able to find TCT at our booth. Also, don’t miss the Welcome Reception for all conference attendees.

Wednesday and Thursday will be packed with valuable educational sessions, and there’s something significant for everyone — whether it’s insights and tips about PCI DSS 4.0.1, technical deep-dives, the future of the payments industry, or cybersecurity trends on the horizon. 

Verizon will also present their payment and security report.

I’m also honored to announce that TCT has been accepted as a tech demo speaker at both the US and EU conferences! Tech demos are 20-minute sessions that include Q&A, live technology demos, and thought leadership on trending issues related to PCI.

This year’s tech demo topic: Save Your Sanity By Not Letting Your Compliance Manage You. Expect a fun and informative TCT session where we connect the dots between real relief of the pain points experienced by those in the compliance space.

A handful of organizations are selected by the PCI Council to present a tech demo, and this will be TCT’s third year in a row to be selected. Stop by and see a live walkthrough of TCT Portal, including features and functions that help make it easy to manage PCI DSS 4.0.1.

TCT’s After Hours Meet and Greet

TCT is co-hosting (with Online Business Systems and HUMAN Security) a reception at Back Bay Social, an American Bistro just a two-minute walk from the convention center. We’ll take over the downstairs private dining room for the evening. Come and join us Wednesday from 7-10 p.m. There will be plenty of appetizers and drinks, good conversation, and great people.

The part I like most about the PCI Community Meetings is the community. The payments industry is a fairly tight-knit group of people, and the annual conference is an opportunity to reconnect with people you already know. And every year, we end up meeting a bunch of wonderful new people as well.

By the Way…PCI 4.0.1 Reporting Templates Update

As of publication of this article, the PCI SSC has released version 4.0.1 of PCI DSS, but the associated reporting templates are still forthcoming. We expect them to be dropped any day, almost certainly before the conference. 

Once that happens, expect TCT Portal to be updated with those reporting templates in less than a week. Our customers depend on us to move quickly and to get new releases onto the system. They depend on us for their PCI compliance, and we take that responsibility seriously. 

Depending on the Council’s timing, we’re hoping to roll into Boston with everything updated in TCT Portal. 

We’re really looking forward to reuniting with old friends and making new ones in Boston!
